Cost accounting and profitability engagements receive a written scope based on your costing questions and available records. We classify each engagement by the number of issues, condition and volume of the records, time period involved, and depth of reporting required. After the complimentary consultation, you receive a written scope and price before paid work begins.
One clearly defined concern involving a limited number of accounts, records, or transactions. Records are reasonably complete and typically cover a short period. Includes an initial review, key findings, and recommended next steps.
Multiple related issues, accounts, or data sources requiring deeper reconciliation and analysis. May cover several months of activity and includes documented findings with practical recommendations.
Multiple entities, years, systems, departments, or high transaction volume—or records that are missing, inconsistent, or significantly disorganized. Includes a tailored work plan, phased pricing, and detailed reporting.
Final pricing depends on the records provided and confirmed scope. Work outside the approved scope requires written authorization before additional charges are incurred.
